This was done for a contest about creating en entertainment center. I went the low-budget apporach. All modeling & texturing was done in AC3D. A separate program was used for rendering.

I like your "low-budget approach".
Would have been a bit more realistic with a TV indoor antenna and electrical connector, and why not some dirt on the carpet too ![]()
