Plugin Request Sketchup SKP file support

Is there a current plugin to add file import/export support for SketchUp SKP files?

There used to be an old plugin, but I am not sure it works any more as I think the devleoper stopped working on it with newer versions of AC3D having support for collada files.

Problem is Collada doesn't work. Most of the time if I export a model to Collada or 3ds Max formats, Sketchup fails to import the file at all.

So I am back to the problem of not being able to move files between AC3D and SketchUp.

The other problem is scale translation.

Have you tried OBJ? That is the most widely supported interchange format.

Unfortuantly SketchUp does not natively support OBJ import/export and I currently can not afford any of the addon plugins that add OBJ support. Otherwise, yes I would be using OBJ.
