Generating drawings for giving to machine shops

How can I generate 2D drawings from my models. The type of 2D drawings that are suitable to give to a machine shop. The type that are typically used and have dimensions, etc.

Is this possible in AC3D or do I need one of the traditional CAD programs to do this?

Well you'd need a painting program, like photoshop, if you're wanting to do it with this modeller.
Cadcam programs designed for the purpose would be much easier though.
Solidworks would do it and costs S99 for the student deal so is less than a paint proggy.
