Texture builder

I'm a do-it-myself person, and I've been browsing around for well built and useable texture creators. All the ones I've found are no good or to simplistic for what I want. Does anyone know of a good powerful texture creator?

Yes ... "Texture Maker" is one of the tools I use (the other one is PSP X).

It's very good for creating textures from scratch, and/or extracting textures from pictures.
It's very powerful, there's a lot to learn.

Thanks I've looked into it and in the few minutes I had to try it out it looks like texture maker will do what I need

1 more question using texture maker how do I build transparent textures?
