Save 3D win PNG animation
Posted by geronimoh
The "save 3D win PNG animation" plugin is very interesting for me. How does it work ? It seems to save 30 images at each plugin activation, but : 1- what is the beginning and the end of the sequence recorded : I made some animations in the 3D view and the saved images do not correspond to the last animation. The last animation does not seems to be the "source" animation. ------------------------------------ Please post general questions in this section. The animation is 30(?) rotations of the 3d window. The first frame will be the initial position of the 3d view. It will then rotate and each time take an image. Press 'f' to centre the selection in the view before you do the animation, that way it will rotate about the centre of the selection. Andy |

After you take the 30 screen grabs to make up a PNG, what next? How do you arrive at, say, Andy's rotating Tie-Fighter graphic, suitable for use as an avatar or online graphic?

There are several ways to do this. The easiest one I have found is Fireworks, it has an option to select all 30 PNG files and load them into different layers - then export as an animated gif. I'm sure that Photoshop, Corel Photo Paint, PaintShop Pro, etc can perform similar tasks. There are also a few dedicated "Animated Gif" programs out there, you can search at ZDnet.com/downloads, or download.com.
