Hello, my name is Ralph Görbing, from near Hamburg in Germany.
I'm a keen modeller, specifically railways and everything to do with them,
and especially steam locomotives of the DB and DR.
In my spare time I construct models for EEP.
EEP is a Model railroad simulator where you can
build your own custom railway scenarios. You can build whatever you want to; fantasy
or real world scenarios - "the sky is the limit" as they say.
You start with an empty green square, you determine how large your world will
be, from a few square km (1kmx5km) or up to whatever size you want
(20kmx10km) or even bigger, keeping in mind less is more, because every
single object placed in your world is a 3D object and calculated in real-time.
That means: many objects -> low framerate, fewer objects ->high
framerate. Here is a link http://www.trendverlag.com/eep-videos.php
where you can watch some videos about scenarios built with EEP; it is in German
but I guess you will understand what it is all about.
When I was looking for suitable software for creating
3D models, I found, like so many other modelling enthusiasts, that the
software was either too expensive, too complex or too time consuming to
learn.
Then, about 4 years ago, I came across AC3D. I
downloaded the demo and was excited about how easy and intuitive it was to
use. The program's intuitive user interface meant that I quickly started to
get great looking results.
I prefer AC3D over programs like C4D, Blender, 3DsMax
and others that I've tried before because it's just awesome in my eyes, with
an unbeatable price and great export capability. I've built many different
models for EEP and remain an enthusiastic AC3D user. AC3D is in my opinion
ideal for beginners because it has a clearly arranged interface, which can
then be adjusted to the user's own personal needs.
If I have whetted your appetite, why not visit our
website https://eepshopping.de and
search for RG2. We're always keen to see new AC3D creations.
As a hobby modeller, here's to railway modelling, and
to AC3D!
Best Regards
Ralph
